Valentine’s Day is the only holiday I know of where there is a contradiction based on your relationship status: If you are single you hate Valentine’s day because you have no one to share it with. If you are with someone, you are ambivalent or slightly agitated toward Valentine’s Day because it’s just another day except now you actually have to do something for said relationship.
