AWKWARD: Because Perfection is Boring: Inspiration and Toilet Paper

  1. Inspiration and Toilet Paper

The other day, I stopped by the ladies’ room in between classes like always, and found half of the stalls unusable.

Well, all toilets are the same, so I went into a different stall.  However, the markings on either side of me caught my attention.

Of course graffiti on a bathroom wall is nothing new, but instead of the humdrum “I love Joe Schmo” and “Jane Doe is a skank,” these writings were more congratulatory and even fortune cookie like.

“I’m getting married on June 5th. Congrats! Hope everything goes well!”

“How do you make love last? Find someone who makes you fall in love all over everyday”

I’ve always been a little fascinated by the messages people make time to scroll in bathroom stalls.  Now, perhaps I’ll also be a little enlightened.

Oh, and this story is awkward simply for the fact that I took these pictures with my camera phone…with the audible “camera shutter” sound on.  I don’t even want to imagine what the other bathroom patrons thought I was taking pictures of inside the stall.
