    According to Chuck Klosterman, according to Thom Yorke, intense writer’s block prevented him from writing coherant lyrics for the Kid A album, so he wrote a bunch of nonsense on slips of paper and drew them out of a hat. Bam—you’ve got a song.

    But after the aformentioned block, he wrote the song “There There” on the album Hail to the Theif, and the lyrics make perfect sense.
