Once I was told I was being “passive aggressive” when I made a snide comment on a male friend’s facebook wall.
We’ve all gone down the passive aggressive route before. Whether it’s in the form of a post it note, ruled paper, e-mail, facebook message/status/Twitter status/Myspace status, whatever suits your style, the opportunities for passive aggressive communciation, i.e. “indirectly communicating emotion to the public without directing it personally to a particular person BUT hoping a specific person reads between the lines of the message and understands your meaning aimed at them” [my own messy definition] are boundless.
Today, we celebrate being passive aggressive by gaining a new addiction to the web site which embraces it.
