And, because this is a scientific experiment, we’ll be following the scientific method, of course.
I. Define the question: Is it possible to convince someone you’ve never met, they’ve missed you?
II. Gather information and resources: Sammy D and I will read as many craigslist missed connections as possible to select the one that could, feasibly, have been us (aka: I can’t answer anything for blonds, redheads, or chicks with purple rimmed glasses. Or dogs). We will then meet this person in a public place in our respective cities, and have a little chat. Get to know them. See what happens.
III. Form a hypothesis: I believe people who post a missed connections are more into the missing, then the connection they think they did, or didn’t have, and therefore can redirect their affection toward another.
IV. Perform experiment and collect data: Sammy D and I will attempt to meet up with one missed connector a month. Check back to see how it goes. We’ll let you know.
