    gnomic \NOH-mik, adjective:

Uttering, containing, or characterized by maxims; wise and pithy.

This word is so cool, I wish I had something gnomic to say about it, but I can’t, because it’s just that cool.*

*I had a long debate with my mom’s best friend’s husband about the difference between ‘gnomic’ and ‘pithy’, as both are described as wise sayings or maxims. The only distinction we made was that gnomic ones are ‘uttered’, where as pithy observations can be explained verbosely. Therefore, the word ‘gnomic’ is distinguished by it’s apathy, and thus is way more interesting than ‘pithy’ could ever be, I think.
